Whilst googling around the interwebs, I found a few humerous/ awesome things invooving the tittle ” Hell On Wheels”. All fairly irrelevant to this post but good all the same.

He chose wisely, and settled on A Fit marv frame. It just would not be a Lee Cruickshank bike with paint on the frame now would it? A tasty shade of raw was the call, and my word does it look spiffy! After riding any frame for nearly 3 years and you get pretty damn used to its geometry. As the Marv has a few rather different characteristics to his old frame, Lee was expecting a bit of ” gotta get used to it time ” , however that proved to not be the case. Adapting instantly, Lee was more than excited as to how the new vessel rode.

………………………………. Just in case you were wondering as to the relevance of the tittle of this post, other than the fact that it has Lee’s name in it, then I have a fairly boring story for you. When I first got started in BMX racing around 96, there was this top gun amateur racer in the states who rod for GT and his name was actually ” In Hee Lee”. For some reason he never really raced in the pro class but he always go loads of pics in the magazines. At the time I was sooo into anything GT did and so I would study all the pics of this GT clad race pilot. Then for no reason, whilst trying to think of what to type here today his name randomly popped into my head and that brings us to now. See, rather boring story.

The new issue of Focalpoint is here! You had better hurry on down and grab one because this one is a keeper. Cooper informed us that this will be the last print issue of Focalpoint he will be doing and is swapping over to a digital version for the future. From humble beginnings came this rad little black and white zine, started by that street shredder from Melbs , it became part of all our lives. Coop has done an amazing job with the magazine and every single rider out there should give him a massive high five the next time they see him to say thanks .

A sweet new custom ride for under a thousand dollars? What a ludicrous thought! With their complete bikes being such a hit with the punters, Fly Bikes have started offering parts kits containing many of thier high quality OEM components to help piece together custom builds with out the gnarly price tag! With the help of our favourite Spaniards, we knocked up this delightful Proper TTL (in what Proper are claiming to be matte Tomato in colour? Maybe the tomatoes in England look like that? Either way it is a very striking colour! ), using the Fly Trebol parts kit which includes the quality wheel set, cranks BB and sprocket as well as the stem. For the rest of the bike we kept a bit of a Fly theme running with Ruben tyres front and rear, plastic Ruben pedals and a Fly tripod seat/ post system. The last pieces of this very attractive and affordable puzzle were the bars and forks in which we kept a very european theme going on with Simple Torino forks and Superstar Sweet Sweep bars………….

Holy crap, an English frame, many spanish parts as well as French bars and Danish forks. The EU is very well represented here and If we were in Europe this bike would cost about 775 euros! You can be the most cultered and worldy dude at the skatepark for only $999 Australiana!
